The Pegasus Collection Details
 
Sailor Moon SuperS The Pegasus Collection covers the entire fourth season of Sailor Moon on DVD. It was released in two waves. The first release, which we call the First Edition here at Sailor Moon Video, and a second release with the branding of Genon Signature Series across the top. There are some notable differences between the two releases.
 
First Edition
These DVDs were released with reversable covers that featured high-def art that was also used on the Japanese Laser Disc release for Sailor Moon S and SuperS. The DVD cases themselves were made of clear plastic, which makes them stand out among other DVD releases of the time. This also allowed the reversable cover art to be seen through the DVD case when it is open.
 
Signature Series
Both the First Edition and the Signature Series release of Sailor Moon contain the same episodes in the same format. That being both English and Japanese Audio with the option for subtitles. The key differences are with the physical packaging and DVD art.
 
There is a large branding logo across the top of each DVD cover that reads "Genon Signature Series". They also did away with the reversable covers and these were typically seen in white DVD cases. Third, the DVDs themselves no longer featured the high-def art and texturing of the First Edition, and were now a plain red with the Sailor Moon logo and text providing volume information.
